A two-day Reading Group by Professor Feldman, the University of Chicago; provided a forum for discussion around key texts of de-, post-, and anti-colonial thought. The texts included the work of the following twentieth-century thinkers in the Caribbean, North, West, and East Africa, and the U.S. diaspora: Frantz Fanon, Aimé Césaire, Chinua Achebe, Abdelkebir Khatibi, Gloria Anzaldúa and others.
Leah Feldman is a researcher and professor at the University of Chicago. A co-author of the book Azbuka Strikes Back. She has authored courses on various topics ranging from aesthetics to postcolonial thought. She is a teacher and researcher of comparative literature.
