Publishing

The primary target of the Tselinny Publishing programme is to publish researches on cultural processes in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. We support the authors whose work can help broaden understanding of the local culture and history. Typically, this knowledge stays within universities, where it is created and published in English, having a limited number of copies printed by university publishing houses. That is why we want to provide access to these works here in the spot — in the local area in question.

It is important to capture the processes that are relevant today, to reflect and talk about them, as well as to make topics for conversations. In addition, it is necessary to take on increasing importance of the processes that have already passed, and understand their impact on us. We hope that the books published as part of the Tselinny Publishing programme is a way to create these topics for conversations and catalysts for public discussion, as well as they perform an archival function, preserving the memory of the issues that concerns us today.
